To each their own, they weren't my scene though the lead singer was in the zone for every song. I was more put off by Liam's son's group. Nothing about them stood out to me. One of their songs sounded like Breed by Nirvana but other than that, kinda forgettable.
I missed them thankfully.
I thought Cast were brilliant. Great throwback to the 90s. As a band they were incredibly tight and sounded great.
I'd be tempted to go again tonight but I don't think I could face 100 degree heat in the 3arena again.
Cast were absolute quality - probably better if you are over 40 and can remember all the songs (as are most bands) but they sounded good and enjoyed being there. I'd pay 30quid just to see them
How liam survives that heat, added heat from the lighting on him, in a coat zipped to the neck is beyond me. Then he played the last 2 with cap on and hood up!
I've been enjoying Liam's resurgence these past few years.
Noel was the super talented song writer and media manipulator but Oasis would not have achieved 10% of their success without Liam.
Liam had the voice, attitude and look that connected with people. He turned into a parody of himself pretty quickly but it was that initial spark that started the fire.
Liam's solo stuff has been decent. Yes there some well put together but banal tracks but also some very interesting songs (Paper Crown, China Town, Moscow Rules, Once etc). His voice cannot be denied. I'm happy that he is still out there doing his thing.
Epic last night
All this time and nobody can get the man an adjustable mic stand.
Budget cuts compared with Oasis days.
Great gig... great crowd. Liam looks and sounds better now than he has in the last 20 years!
Am going tonight. Really looking forward to it.
Enjoy! The openers weren't up to much but once Liam came on it was bangers wall to wall. I'd recommend a hat though, lots of pints thrown in the air.
You wash your mouth out with Soap, Cast were quality!

The heat was mental lol how does he manage that in a parka
How tf was it that steaming last night, was drenched after about 5 songs
Can you stream the audio on mixlr.com please
Only seeing this now....sorry. "Cigarettes and Alcohol" was epic.
