It's a good deal. It's one of the most used terrain sets and the teams are fun too. Better than the starter kit, IMHO. I regretted buying the starter instead of the Octarius box.
The terrain gives you loads of options for building boards, whereas the starter set only comes with scatter terrain (not awful by any stretch, but having vantage points and large solid walls makes for much more intersting gameplay)
Additionally, the starter set doesn't contain the Octarius book that has all of the team rules for the vet guard and kommandos. If you want the physical book, you'd have to buy it separately.
Full rule book for the teams for a start. Plus proper terrain. The starter kit doesn’t have the full info for either of the teams. I had to buy an octarius book (this was before I learned of Wahapedia, but I wanted a printed version anyway).
Same here. Picked up starter because was unsure and cheaper option looked better for an inexperienced perspective. Extra terrain, the book and cards are actually a pretty good deal
You won’t regret it. It’s a great set and a great deal. The teams and terrain have some of the most character of any GW kit, and are very fun to build, paint, and play. It’s easily my favorite box of the last 3 years since I came back to the hobby.
Just be careful when you build the vet guard, there is one infamous elbow that is used for like all gunners, so read the instructions first, the prepare for some hobbing.
Is this octarius (I think there is a deathkorps on the front) or "killzone octarius" ? The first one is a good deal the later one is maybe ok.
