I think they would be a bit too tall (the sister is already barely smaller than an intercessor) so id rather glue two halves on top of the paper bases rhey have
I see. Is the height coming from printing sizes or because you were generous with the cutting ?
I once printed a papermini on really thick paper for pictures and cut it put along the contours of the picture … killed a fresh blade and took me too long😅 My Pathfinder players killed the monster in 1 round 🤣
Bases would have been a cheap time saving to get the sizes right and some stability:-)
Poorhammer. Has it's own subreddit and all. It's all I did as a teen. Had some great cardboard guard tanks. Now I'm an adult and have disposable cash I still feel viscerally bad about buying anything direct from GW. $17 aud for three striking scorpions back in 94, and the codex says they only come in units of 5...was when I realised the marketing and rules/fluff components of GW were two different things.
Sidenote: the kasrkin with 1 hp in the last pic actually charged a tau and the tau missed everything, rerolled and killed a kasrkin in melee (the meme thing happened unironically)
Ah, a fellow cheap-hammer player! I made a few teams of paper stand ups this way, so I could get my friends to try kill team.
They look good! You can also find some really good looking paper terrain on drivethrough rpg if you want to up your terrain game on the cheap.
Battletech does something like this where the boxes come with the minis as usual but also come with duplicates in the form of cardboard standees. And you can just buy the cardboard standees of most of the mechs, great way to play while keeping it on the cheap.
I used to make figures for dnd and marvel's original rpg. I used to fold the bottom tabs inwards, making a triangle from the side view, and loaded the inside with fishing line weights, gluing them in. not as heavy as actual pewter figures, but could withstand a light breeze and only fell over with a good breeze, so they didn't fly all over the table/room. You could use fishing weights on all those building pieces too.
I am from a Latin American country and the ws content does not reach here. So we have to buy 3d prints. so it's also a budget version, the important thing is to have fun
Phobos won first game due to my rotten dice luck infamous vetween my friends, kasrkin and tau ended early, in the 4-way tau and legionaries managed to win with a 1 point margain after shooting down a sole survivor skitarii diktat who survived 2 turning points just sitting on an objective while being shot at constantly. The Omnissiah protects (to a degree) 🦾
Actually a great way to get someone into kill team without them having to make and paint all the minis.
“Idk man it’s just a board game wanna play?” And two months later they’re reading Bowden and listening to AdRic
Here was my best poorhammer purchase, EVER! My $3 thrift store Elven Dragon for WHFB. It lights up, too!!

As long as the overhead fan isn't on you should be good!
Fair enough, i am considering adding cardboard on bases to anchor them down a bit more 😂. The terrain however is sturdy enough.
I was thinking a penny glued to the bottom would work well.
You're trying to double the cost of this operation??
EU cents are kinda small and i really dont wanna glue bigger coins, theres a reason i made paper teams lol 😂
How about a washer?
Poker chips? I just picked up a 400 chip set for 50p from a market. (car boot sale)
Most chips i have seen are too big (around 40 mm)
Memories of the 2nd edition Ork Dredd right here. If it was good then, it's still good now
Paperhammer kept me going as a broke child, this brings back memories!
I feel called out 😅
I like that you have the Gucci objective markers still
They are also paper 🤐
O fuk
Alternate title: my approach to GW's business practices 🙃
Crazy to think the 2nd edition of Warhammer fantasy came with cardboard standees you could use as a starter set.
Well Geedubs can only blame themselves if they think the power given by market monopoly can't be easily circumvented
Dope budget skills. *nod of approval*
Awesome:-) Biggest improvement would perhaps be finding some cheap bases to glue the paper minis on :-)

The height comes from the bases that are part of the pictures
Budgethammer. Not a bad idea if you have an itch ypu cant afford to scratch:p

Whatever people call it it's a great idea.
Stand sideways for conceal.
(that just gave me an idea for some kind of Paper Mario + Warhammer crossover)
That’s is pretty dang cool. With the current prices of everything El Jonson might end up a card board cut out for games.
Sidenote: the kasrkin with 1 hp in the last pic actually charged a tau and the tau missed everything, rerolled and killed a kasrkin in melee (the meme thing happened unironically)
I love the paper dice box. Just for the extra fuck you
I glued plastic foam below it so it doesnt slide around, its lowkey epic 😎

I love the idea I remember seeing a YouTuber talk about a friend that made there necrons out of foil
This is the way to do it

how is this faire? whenever i try to shoot them they just turn sideways! ok but honestly that's amazing.
Nice!

The poorest of hammers. JK - the terrain is actually amazing.
Card Stock Simulator
Love it, looks like you had a great time. But: who did win?

Huge respect! It’s awesome to see people enjoying the hobby regardless of how they do it!
I like this very much, even though it’s tech-heresy.
