All specialists is the way to go, they only field nine lads, and the heavy weapons are kinda underwhelming in practice, so just building both normal gunners is typically the way people go

Corsairs 1 Box Build:
1. Leader with pistol or rifle (both are fine)
2. Kurnite Hunter
3. Kurnathi
4. Shade Runner
5. Way Seeker
6. Soul Weaver
7. Fate Dealer
8. Starstorm Duellist
9. Gunner (Blaster)
10. Gunner (Shredder)
DON’T build the heavy gunner and instead use their body to build the second gunner. You might need to ignore some of the instructions (which actually prompt you to make an illegal team) to accomplish this.
I actually magnetized the leader so I could use both weapons, but I think it’s not worth magnetizing the other models as OP asked for the “best build” and the both gunner options are superior to the heavy gunner options (and you can only take 1 of the 4 at a time)
Build both gunner options and use extra body for kurnathi

I built the first gunner, second gunner I made the sniper, heavy gunner I made into a regular warrior and sniper was the kurnathi
