I just tried to setup a new Taiko wallet. After re-entering my pin it keeps saying: failed to create wallet, please try later again.
Edit: will keep trying.
Maybe join the discord (if you arent on it already) and ask there. Theyll help you.
Maybe one stupid reason it didn't work is that theres a new update for the app. Happened to me once so i hope its just that easy for you too
