Shifa and the Sindh Institue or urology already have done this. Nothing new.

isn't donating kidney outside of family illegal, how exactly have they done this. Kidney transplant does happen within the family, I did not deny that.

OP your idea is good, but the problem is that abuse of this system can't be policed easily. Ultimately people will end up selling kidneys for money and not for the right reasons. Of they know the are a match for a potential recipient. The better thing to do is to normalise organ donation as an end of life wish. All developed nations have organ donation programmes where people declare that upon their deaths their organs can be taken for the use of others. Here in Pakistan no one gives a shit about such things, unless it effects your family personally. We don't even donate blood regularly, unless someone in our family needs it. Politicians, Molvis and people with influence should promote such a mindful programme in the country. Religious stigma needs to be removed, because organ donation upon death is actually Sadka Jaria. It should be encouraged from a moral and social standpoint as well. I live in the UK and carry a organ donation card in my wallet. If I die in an accident the hospital can harvest all my organs without needing to refer to my family for consent. What is to stop such a simple thing in Pakistan. Apart from ignorance of ignorant molvis and stupid superstition of uneducated awam.

Pretty sure this was done recently in IMC Lahore. There's a YouTube channel Dr Shafiq cheema who handled the whole transplant.

I think it would be better and easier to bring change to the cultural mindset and encourage donation of organs after death. Educate the masses and primarily educate the ulema to encourage donation of organs after death.
