Kids in the early 2000s are familiar with Destiny Child. Some of you didn’t even attend DC3 concerts . Many of them were able to witness DC3 from their sofas like the rest of you . Y’all be born in 1998 acting like nobody seen what y’all seen .
![gif](giphy|PPrFKKsCF96d0sFrMO|downsized)
Baby, you okay? Is it just your emotions taking you over? Coming up on here and doing all of this can’t be making you feel any better.
To that end, what people who were born in 1998 were doing is none of my concern. I was sitting on the sofa singing my ass off in 1988.
![gif](giphy|ijEW1qzjC8jpC)
You might be the dumbest person on this entire website and I don't even mean that as an insult, I'm genuinely amazed. I can't wait to see the gif you respond to this post with
Writing’s on the Wall probably has some of their most iconic songs, but Destiny Fulfilled is their best album top to bottom.
Their impact was dominant on both sides to be fair.
I’ll never let anyone disrespect Michelle’s impact to that final iteration of the group. She played her role well. Beyoncé and Kelly were most likely going to lead songs, but Michelle was gonna come through and clean that shit up on the back end
You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!! And when I was reading her book and watching some of her interviews, people have to remember what exactly she came into! The group was in the midst of promoting their massively successful second album going into recording their third, in the middle of touring and promo, Michelle was fresh off of a tour doing BGVs for Monica and going immediately into 12 hour rehearsals everyday so she could keep up with group for their upcoming tour dates, performances, dance routines and music videos! Michelle (and Farrah before she quit or was fired🤷🏽♂️Idk) worked hard to keep up with the demands of the group and people need not forget that!
You make me want to throw my pager out the window
Tell MCI to cut the phone pole
Break my lease so I can move
Cause you a bug-a-boo, a bug-a-boo
—
I want to put yo’ number on the call block
Have AOL make my email stop
Cause you a bug-a-boo
Ya buggin’ what, ya buggin’ who, ya buggin’ me and don’t ya see it ain’t cool
However, it persisted. DC3 faded out more slowly than the original. LOL. Soundtracks and Grammy Awards. Harriet Tubman clearing the path for freedom was akin to DC3. Michelle enjoyed every advantage of the DC4 hard work .

I liked LeToya and LaTavia and I can understand their concerns. I originally thought Beyoncé was the cause but I discovered that was ALL Matthew Knowles and his trifling, cheating, wannabe Berry Gordy ass. He didn't even tell Beyoncé and Kelly until after it was done. But with all that said, LeToya's voice blended too well with Beyoncé and Kelly that it was almost seamless but it was not distinctive. I think she is better as a solo artist, she has the talent and the stage presence needed. LaTavia was a contralto that took on the lower notes in their harmonies. Standing alone, it has not really stood out. Michelle's voice is more versatile, although she's a light lyrical soprano, she took on the alto in their three-part harmonies. Her voice is very distinctive, if you hear her on the radio, you can almost immediately tell her apart from other female vocalists. I think the original group's best effort was when they finally wrote their own songs like "Say My Name". However, I think that the trio just worked better. You could see their personalities better, you could hear their voices better and the harmonies were tighter. Also, the songs were just better with a stronger message of female empowerment and the music matured as they grew older.
SAME!!!! Destiny Fulfilled in the only DC3 I can really tolerate and that’s because it’s solid R&B and they made an emphasis to give less shine to Beyoncé and spread it around.
Here, let's be serious. The main reasons it peaked were Beyoncé first , second Kelly and third Michelle. Beyoncé is genuinely a star ⭐️. She’s the one who carried the live performances on her back . Of course their where times Kelly Rowland got crunk and told Beyoncé to the left to the left . Michelle fell down , but got back up Donnie McClurkin style .
![gif](giphy|hNrOP2a6sAtxK)
Latavia and Letoya were my faves and kicking them out of the group caused a grudge after I had become a fan from the “The Writing’s On the Wall” album.
After “Say My Name” on, I wasn’t messing with DC and it made me never become a Bey fan.
Personally I like the original lineup…it just seemed more authentic. How funny Beyoncé even has her cowboy hat on in the first photo, and here we are all these years later in the Cowboy Carter era now with Beyoncé once again wearing cowboy hats. However just like most artists, Destiny’s Child evolved in all aspects, so I feel the better music came from DC3. How ironic that their most successful song Say My Name was the turning point…The end of the original lineup and the beginning of the Destiny’s Child we know today (minus Farrah flake ass🙄😒) Love em either way though❤️
They ALL served looks in this video. I was a big fan of No, No, No (hadn't saw the With Me video before Bills) so when I seen them jn this video I was speechless.
Both are better, as long as Beyoncé stays in the lead. Though it was ideal for Charlie's angels, Beyoncé does appear better with three people behind her than with just two. DC4 had more adorable backup singers and dancers than DC3.
![gif](giphy|OJbr914LLiETe)
The original lineup but I will say that the trio amassed major success despite the controversial situation with Latoya & Latavia leaving the group. I still would like to see all members on a reunion tour of some sort because they have hits and their music will do numbers again because of streaming and off the strength of Beyoncè being there.
Post 2000s, I wasn’t alive during that time so I don’t really know about the fan culture and all that but to me LeToya and Latvia were the same person and offered nothing to the group since they didn’t sing.
Post 2000s everyone was regularly singing and all very strong vocalists
They still had more rhythm 🥁 than Michelle . They used to drop it low and pick it up-slowly . They had to slow it down for Grandma .👵 Michelle
![gif](giphy|q7V010ynv4JJ5MLc65|downsized)
Alongside Michelle 🤣. As long as the camera is focused primarily on Beyoncé, Kelly, and a sprinkle of Michelle, I don't give a damn.
![gif](giphy|oQIwgd77gZJtuwBcxQ|downsized)
I fell in love with Destiny's Child pre-2000, and I enjoyed them post-2000. I prefer *The Writing's on the Wall* over *Survivor*; but I prefer *Destiny Fulfilled* over the self-titled album.
Overall, even still, when I think of Destiny's Child, I think of them pre-2000. That's the heart and core of Destiny's Child, in my opinion.
For whatever reason Destinys child music never really did it for me so I’m gonna say old school because as a middle school kid, I was in love with Latavia
DC3 will always be vocally better and they have my favorite DC songs overall, but DC4 had just way too many bops, even the hidden joints. My favorite DC4 song is Temptation
While the writing on the wall is their best album post 2000 is the best line up. It’s like Beyoncé said “now they can all sing lead” the 2000s destiny child felt more like a real girl group as the other members were getting more verses as apposed to just Beyoncé
The Writing’s On the Wall is their best album. It's also my favorite Beyonce album. It's that good. So, I have to go with the pre-2000s.
Baybaaay!!!! The 1990s was a time to be alive. I still can’t believe half this sub wasn’t born yet.
Listen! They missed out! It was amazing.
Damn it hurts to hear that out loud. Am I really getting old?!?!
The 90s were everything and more!

Writing’s on the Wall probably has some of their most iconic songs, but Destiny Fulfilled is their best album top to bottom. Their impact was dominant on both sides to be fair.
I’d say survivor has their most iconic songs for general public. Bootylicious. Survivor. Independent women.
Post 2000s, I love me some Michelle!
I’ll never let anyone disrespect Michelle’s impact to that final iteration of the group. She played her role well. Beyoncé and Kelly were most likely going to lead songs, but Michelle was gonna come through and clean that shit up on the back end

Break my lease?! I always sang “break my knees” 🤣
Lol you had them girls moving by ambulance. I have so many wrong lyrics in my head tho. 🤭
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just streamed that video on YouTube Music this morning! At least the song's a reminder to us that MCI did exist at some point. 😄
MCI and AOL 🤣
At least we still have AOL in some form in 2024 FWIW. 🤷♂️
Look. I didn’t even know it was still around.
Original is always the best flavor....limited edition usually fade out
However, it persisted. DC3 faded out more slowly than the original. LOL. Soundtracks and Grammy Awards. Harriet Tubman clearing the path for freedom was akin to DC3. Michelle enjoyed every advantage of the DC4 hard work . ![gif](giphy|cNwsNmPt217X4xogOs|downsized)
The O.G. four

Pre 2000s. Lowkey the only post 2000s I like from DC was Destiny Fulfilled. I actually hated Survivor.
SAME!!!! Destiny Fulfilled in the only DC3 I can really tolerate and that’s because it’s solid R&B and they made an emphasis to give less shine to Beyoncé and spread it around.
Survivor is one of their best songs in my opinion. Destiny Fulfilled is a great album though.
It’s cute but I never considered it R&B
Because it isn’t. It’s a pop song.
DC4, but Dangerously In Love and Cater 2 U are top tier. Their best song is still Killing Time though.
I love LeToya and LaTavia so much, but DC3 was peak DC for me
Here, let's be serious.
Survivor DC
For me, it's thee original the og line up for me. Even though I love Kelly and Michelle, I love the original cause it was the best. Love Latoya.
Latavia and Letoya were my faves and kicking them out of the group caused a grudge after I had become a fan from the “The Writing’s On the Wall” album. After “Say My Name” on, I wasn’t messing with DC and it made me never become a Bey fan.
I remember my friends and I talking about the breakup on the playground at school the day after the news broke on the radio. I was so upset lol.
This is a gif of Beyoncé reading your comment after taking out a bank withdrawal to buy some cowboy boots and hats. ![gif](giphy|l2SpMUEMRJkkqYcta)
M6 favorite Destiny Child song is cater 2 u right before they broke up
Same
Personally I like the original lineup…it just seemed more authentic. ![gif](giphy|pzcp0VQ4u5rR0Iwd98) It’s was, is and always will be OG DC 4 me
They ALL served looks in this video. I was a big fan of No, No, No (hadn't saw the With Me video before Bills) so when I seen them jn this video I was speechless.
pre-2000; post-2000 was too poppy for me
Definitely Post 2000. Their 2000s singles are more fun. Lose My Breath is hard to beat for me.
Ima say DC3. The bops were endless at that point tbh
DC 3
This is hard. Hmm…DC3 had more bops, but I felt DC4 was more R&B.
Pre-2000s. DC3 had great moments, but the swagger and chemistry of DC4 is hard to match.
Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle. 🩷
post....destiny fuffilled is their best album
original of course. Forever love Latavia and LeToya!
DC3
DC3. I’ll say the only thing I miss about DC4 is the 4-part harmony. Other than that, DC3 wasn’t lacking. The music was still there. 🤷🏾♂️
Pre
version 1
Both are better, as long as Beyoncé stays in the lead. Though it was ideal for Charlie's angels, Beyoncé does appear better with three people behind her than with just two. DC4 had more adorable backup singers and dancers than DC3. ![gif](giphy|OJbr914LLiETe)
The original
Post 2000

I still would like to see all members on a reunion tour of some sort because they have hits and their music will do numbers again because of streaming and off the strength of Beyoncè being there.
DC4
Look how sad they look on the 2nd pic
All of them
Pre 2000s
I like DC4 better, I feel like the vocals were fuller
The OG’s. I think they were the first thing I ever searched for on the internet during school.
Post 2000s, I wasn’t alive during that time so I don’t really know about the fan culture and all that but to me LeToya and Latvia were the same person and offered nothing to the group since they didn’t sing. Post 2000s everyone was regularly singing and all very strong vocalists

Ok but like where is Destiny Fulfilled?
Alongside Michelle 🤣. As long as the camera is focused primarily on Beyoncé, Kelly, and a sprinkle of Michelle, I don't give a damn. ![gif](giphy|oQIwgd77gZJtuwBcxQ|downsized)
Washington.
I prefer the version from the early-to-mid-aughts due to hearing solo parts from members other than Beyoncé. The original crew slaps, too, though.
Where's Farrah?
Well, it’s better for her to go home 🏡 than not have luggage 🧳?
DC3! Michelle is the queen of bridges 👏🏽
Destiny fulfilled is one of my favorite albums by destiny child so I’m gonna go with post 2000s
Pre-2000. That business is hard on a person, and I just prefer to see them smiling. Back when they had youthful optimism. And hope and stuff.
The first DC
Left side
I will always prefer the original 4
2000’s baby I mean I from the 90’s but the classics was 2000
DC4 gave us their best album, but DC3 was the most functional. That includes charm as well as the performances. I gotta go with DC3.
All I needs is some Kelly and Beyonce no one else matters
Gotta go with the holy trinity of Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle! That said… my favorite DC album is still *The Writing’s on the Wall*
The one with Lisa (Left Eye) Lopes, Chili and T-Boz. Catch my drift?
Neither
For whatever reason Destinys child music never really did it for me so I’m gonna say old school because as a middle school kid, I was in love with Latavia
DC3 will always be vocally better and they have my favorite DC songs overall, but DC4 had just way too many bops, even the hidden joints. My favorite DC4 song is Temptation
DC4! I love their pre-2000 albums
1st one
While the writing on the wall is their best album post 2000 is the best line up. It’s like Beyoncé said “now they can all sing lead” the 2000s destiny child felt more like a real girl group as the other members were getting more verses as apposed to just Beyoncé
Both
Post-2000 Destiny's Child since I appreciated Michelle as a member of DC. Much love to LaTavia & LeToya Luckett for sure!
Original. Letoya was my favorite!
Lose my breath and dc3 over anything from the og4
Michelle is more versatile than Toya and Tavia, but the OG harmonies are unmatched. So I go with the OG lineup from a group perspective.
Both I am not choosing
Both 💁🏾♀️
Both iconic
Yes
OG
