Get more involved with Beedie events, try to make study groups, and you should be good.
may i ask why you want to transfer? but to answer your question: very friendly people, decently social in residence and at UBC parties lol, but hard to meet people / make friends outside of that, as most students commute to campus and leave thereafter.
