She has some lore. In Dawnbringers I there were whispers of a Lady in Ruin, a Varanguard that orchestrated the nurgle assault on Hammerhall. So she wasn't introduced herself, but teased as an important character.

She was born and grew up in the Eightpoints, rising in the fighting pits of it until becoming a varanguard. At her ascension to leader of the 1st circle Archaon gifter her a spear which with a cut can turn anyone into a chaos spawn, catch being that it can do so to the wielder too if they loose concentration, which has happened to her before and thats why she has those horns.
I’m BEGGING them to let her roll a dice after killing something, and if it goes off you get a free spawn, just like that Kairos(?) ability from tzeentch
There’s a few varanguard who turned traitor and report to Be’lakor directly, but not really anyone whose made a major appearance in lore other than the two mentioned.
I’m miffed it doesn’t have wings. I’ve wanted a full chaos dragon for years. But I am so so totally buying that box. I’ve wanted some Varanguard anyway, so this is perfect.
Here are my thoughts. Take her off the dragon and standing on the ground to make room for the wings up top and you’re set. Probably will have to green stuff her saddle but that will be a killer model.
I'd just prefer a better head, even still with the horns. I feel like having a cool female head with horns would be the tipping point for me on how much I absolutely need it.
It's highly doubtful that it will be a dual-kit with generic rules alongside the named, but nobody is going to kill you for finding a good enough headswap and just saying "counts as" the official but your lore is based around your own character.
After the Eternus dual-kit I actually see a good chance for that, that way you'd have a lore friendly kit catering for people not not going the Archaon route.

I'm the only one who hopes that it has a montage option where it is an unnamed character, or that at some point we get a lord of chaos in the spawn of Varanthax, for those who wonder who Varanthax is, is it the drake from which Abraxia's mount descends?

That shield is ugly AF, that spear is WAAAAY too big, and personally I would have preferred her horns to be a bit smaller.
Other than that, it is one hell of a model. That lizard has tons of kitbashing potential and it looks ***DEADLY***, even more so than the Karkadrak.

This box brings me to 21, unreasonable but worth. To note i have run a 21 varangaurd list. It was very bad for points, but a blast to play

Hating Chaos Gods is not the same as hating Chaos. Abraxia and Archaon do the former. Malal/Malice/Ravenous\_Dissolution does the latter.

What I love about her character is full dedication to Archaon himself. Not to the ruinous powers. Archaon hates the Gods, and so does she
Gotta keep that in mind when writing lore for my stuff then. The main general for my army was one of the Vanguard.
But really she is such a cool model with a cool background that she needs to lead a warband for me in 4e

We haven't been shown that sadly Though couple of our kits have extra helmets so id imagine replacing the head would be a simple thing
