My sister is a high school teacher and witnesses these “pranks” firsthand. A group of girls were suspended last year for destroying the washroom while filming themselves for TikTok. Not vandalized—fully destroyed. They smashed sinks, tore toilet seats off, smashed mirrors, etc. “It’s just a prank!”

Anecdotal, but I work in a prison and so many of those guys are so impressively dumb (and often dangerous). Like significantly stupider than most dim people you might run into, often willfully ignorant.
And that plays into rehabilitation; how do you rehabilitate people who, for example, are illiterate and do not see the value in literacy? Do you expect them to renter the workforce? We have vocational training and school, but you can’t force people to learn.
