I just wish there was a way, in all torrent sites, to take a snapshot of the whole site, just in case it gets shut down as well. Like a daily backup, of the whole site and all torrents, etc.

Yeah. But, people are lazy. A one click dupe on torrent sites would be a nice feature, and a quick way for someone to have access to them, if the site was taken down. A public service, if you will.
I mean, wget is nice and all, but having a one click, download a torrent of the whole website as of today's date, option would be pretty nice, in my humble opinion.
Do you know how much traffic that would use for even one person to download every torrent file on a site? That's far from feasible. If anything the owners could post a torrent file with every torrent but even then that's alot of traffic someone has to pay for.
So, your site is multiple tb's in size?
Or, is your site something more along the line of 800 megs, once tar'd or zipped?
Torrent files are usually fairly small, text files, that compress well. So, perhaps a yearly zip of the site, at max compression, as a torrent that users would share, could be more feasible?

The first Pirate Bay archive was like 600 megs. 2012 had ballooned up to 1300 mb.
Still, most torrent sites share links / torrents for files that are far larger than 1300 mb.
Give them access to it, if they will leave it up on their seedboxes for at least 2 months.
I've thought about this before, and read other posts about this topic. The problem here is that sometimes a torrent has 0 seeders but then the next day it could have a seed. I thought maybe I could add an option for the user to exclude inactive torrents from search results themselves if they want ?

That sounds perfect. Or tracking when there was last a known seed, maybe with a way to sort by that metric
I remember that I used it for like two weeks before it was shut down. It had a really nice variety, especially the things I was looking for. I'm looking forward to test the new site. Congrats.

I meant it doesn't work properly,for example searching for " Yes minister " then ordering results by size,you see the 17th result being 2.4 gb while the 16th is 18.2 mb,from that point the rest of torrent results are in random order as well,the last result of the first page being 3.08 gb.Maybe they are in correct order but the size mentioned in description is wrong?I remember this issue since btdb.to went down and I found your eu domain months ago and I was bummed since it's impossible to discover good quality stuff when the size option is bugged
There is actually alot of difference. Torrents.csv just scrapes from a few other torrents sites. We scrape from both the dht network and a bunch of other sites. This way there is alot of harder to find stuff you wouldn't find on other sites.

We do provide a full backup and hourly dump of the database on the site. I was thinking about making the site open source too
