For me, I think it should be a one-and-done belt used to entice really epic fights/quash beefs. Both fighters get PPV points. Then we don't pretend like it's a "belt" with a "champion", it's just 100% clearly a promo tool to hype up a kind of superfight and is just a signal that both guys are getting those sweet PPV points. Keeps champs away from it as well since they already get PPV points, and champs can just focus on keeping the top of their divisions active.
I think it'd end up with some neat fights against up and coming killers that are looking to climb ranks instead of risking it against each other... and other fights against vets who are being a bit too picky about the fights they make. Just a great carrot to dangle to make the fights people really want to see happen.
The only legitimacy the belt has in getting mfers paid / padding out PPVs as a promotional tool. That's why I think it's largely better that it serves as an "illegitimate" belt for action fighters.

The interim title actually has relevance. It's there to keep the division frpm stalling out if the champion can't fight for an extended period if time. The two top guys fight, the winner becomes interim champion and the division can keep moving. Once the champion returns they fight the interim champ to unify the division.
The bmf belt has no purpose. It's a gimmick that's not needed and a title with no weight or meaning behind it. There's no bmf division, no bmf weight class, no bmf rankings or no.1 contender. It ultimately means nothing.
