I worked with a guy who did this. Laptop in middle, using the keyboard on it, and two large monitors on either side. He liked it, I hated it. But it wasn’t mine, so whatever.
Lol he should have built a computer and not used a laptop. I have a 4080S and run at native res on my G9oled and it sometimes gets low framerate. Can't imagine this laptop running 3 screens is having good performance.
Depends on the game and hardware. My 2070 super played games on g9 at 90fps most the time. The 4070ti s basically doubled it and I upped the settings to ultra. So not sure what game you're getting low frame rate on, but I haven't found one yet.
Bruh, you have two great monitors, and you decide to put a laptop screen dead center with the two great monitors on either side? You don’t see why people are commenting about this not making any sense? You even said yourself you have to turn your head to see the screens? Come one dude, what are you thinking 🤦♂️
Sell the non oled ultrawide, buy a cheap chair, put the OLED center to your gaming position with the laptop to the side. Then post again.
This makes absolutely 0 practical sense and is worse than having only the laptop display IMO.
Things wrong about this:
1. The worst screen of the bunch is in the middle.
2. There is no justification to have that much screen unless you are playing wide screen race sim or flight sim. There is no way you will catch all those screens in your peripheral vision, if you need to look left and right to look at one screen at a time, what is the point of having 3 screens.
3. Terrible spot to have the keyboard. No mouse to be seen.
4. I don't see a speaker system to match the visuals. I am assuming you are using the laptop sound output, or even worse, monitor sound.
5. from seeing your use case, getting a console and a good tv would have been a better investment.
(feel free to add more)
Steps to fix this:
1. Stop
2. Get some help
Get a cheap (or free) mouse and keyboard and close the damn laptop so it fits under the monitors (get rid of the stupid stand if necessary). Move the monitors together IN FRONT of the metal bar that you demand is in the way and sit the closed laptop under the monitors.
If you whinge that the laptop must be open and on the stand for cooling or something, that doesn't mean the screen needs to be enabled and sitting dead centre on the desk.
This is the worst thing I might have ever seen set up wise 😂😂😭😭😭. Why have the laptop in the middle??? How would you look at the other screens without giving yourself whiplash?
You can tell he's 22, immature as fuck. Says he has money but he lives at home with mommy still. You can live at home, it's fine, but don't go boasting you have money when you don't pay for a mortgage and then tell people they are poor or making min wage.
"Forget about the pain", your mind does, but your body doesn't. Keep the laptop closed, stack both monitors vertically. Don't be an obtuse and feel like this a good setup, jeez.
They are downvoting bc it doesn’t make sense ergonomically. Your laptop shouldn’t be in the middle and ultrawides this big, need to be mounted on top of each other to really make use of both of them
the problem with the setup is that you can only really see one of the ultra-wides at a time. Even side by side it seems impractical. If this were me, I'd mount the one on the left above the one of the right. Then have an external mouse and keyboard in front of it, with the laptop on the right. Or some variation.
Looks cool though.

Dude honestly, the oled looks so good it'd be better isolated. With how I sit I don't really see the other UW but I can still catch the light in my peripheral. I might just end up turning it off when I game. It also doubles as a piece when I have people over 🤷♂️
So are you shifting from monitor to monitor for different tasks?
Like are you sitting on the right monitor while gaming? And moving to left for other things?
I wager you'll benefit from VESA mounts, you could make the OLED in your centre with some height, the other UW can either be left/right, horizontal or vertical orientation, the laptop can be kept below and centre, only because you don't have a keyboard and mouse currently.
The next few purchases should include a mouse, keyboard, and an ergonomic chair. Telling you man, those patio chairs are slow killers.
1. It's complicated. It's 2 chairs pushed together but I have them where my chest is centered on the right edge of the laptop, it's not hard to reach over and touch the pad a few times, or just turn it on and launch whatever while im standing. When I need to use the left monitor (which is like never) I just turn my head, or break apart the chairs and swivel in it to face middle or left. When gaming they're together with a pillow bridging, and like 5 other strategically placed pillows on top of the existing cushions. A real throne, ik. The position assumed is an obtuse 145° or so.
2. I got this thing less than a week ago, and it was on impulse bc insane deal ($500 barely used) ill get there on the arrangement
3. Thank you for being concerned, I'm painfully aware lol. Will be my next investment concerning the setup 100%
I hope you’ve learned something from this post. People aren’t roasting you as a person, they’re roasting the setup. Most replies have solid advice that you seem to just ignore or provide excuses for. Maybe, just maybe, it could be better.
No sir, I'm using thorn in Vow, revoker for the final boss in the final shape campaign 😼. What all these nubs don't get is I'd still clap em in their game of choice w my "shitty" setup ☠️
Bro you have a razer blade and two curved monitors you can get any chair lmao just don’t get a gaming one if you care about your back. Also, please get another desk if you have space issues cause the laptop in middle ain’t it lol
Yknow what,at first glance i too was weirded out,but read your responses and i get it,hell im in a somewhat similar boat,im using a foldable table which sucks DICK,and have two styrofoam things stacked on eachother for a foot rest because im a bit short and the tables too tall for me,but got a computer thats a little over 3 grand and an oled that cost me 1 grand. Not like we *dont* want a better table or set up,but we make it work and will continue to do improvements when we get around to it,but it works and i can definitely concur with already dealing with body issues,i did masonry,im only 24,my body's already fucked too 🥴
I see you rock Razer Blade? Monitor your battery, it might expand and damage the chassis, my one expanded so much that the screws shoot out and the holes stretched xd
The 18" razer has a dedicated battery fan, and since it's plugged in 95% of the time I keep the battery capped at 50%. Not to mention all the other temp regulation methods I'm using
Its a good thing you stopped smoking weed.
How can you seriously think this is a good setup and you saved money?
You could easily build a desktop with the same performance for 2.5k.
Then use your OLED widescreen and bam better Setup.
Get a desk for fucking 100 and a chair for 200-400 and for the love of god dont get a gaming chair.
Looking at it again, do you like, rotate your upper body to look from most extreme left to extreme right? What fo you even play on that???
I was thinking about getting 3 ultra wides (sim racer) but opted to get just one. 3 are very much bad for your neck.
I think your setup would be very bad for your neck too with only a small screen right in front of you and a lot of screen on both sides thats not an optimal setup
Hey man, one gamer to another. The ergonomics and positioning for gaming is completely off and wrong. You should try centering your main gaming monitor. There's a reason why so many people are confused at your setup here lol. At least give it a try! Best of luck to you gamer! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
If it works for you it works, just seems like a lot of hassle for not much gain vs a desktop and then having a secondary device for light gaming on the go.
dope, I was also looking to get a g8 34 inch for myself too! But it’s a lil pricey for me to be honest. How is it? And if I may ask how much did you pay for it? Was it worth it?
Kind regards
Aint it purty? My 55" samsung qd-oled is so bright and colorful everything else looks dull compared to it. LOVE it.
I went and looked at the curved 49" monitor as a potential upgrade, but i think im a flatty boi. Still 55" is great for multi tasking and streaming. Or big ole fortniting.
And ill be damned the new Nvidia drivers took me from 70fps to 100fps in 4k ultra w/ RT maxed. 4070ti. LOVING LIFE rn
Ooooo that's sick bro, ive never tried a high hz tv but i do have a samsung oled. Its true bro once you go oled you cant go back, its just better. I thought i had an idea of what high hz oled would be like but i wasnt ready lmao. Maybe when I build a desktop (w new desk, chair, place, etc) I'll make the jump to curved 49" or even the curved 45" which i think would look sick
I asked Llama 3 to translate:
Here's the translation:
> "No gaming chair, no mouse, no keyboard, and I'll still wipe you (team). (In the last slide, you can see the arms of the two patio chairs I smashed together and bridged with a pillow to make a skulliosis cultivating pod) I'll ascend even more when my head isn't craned 45° to look at the screen, but aye, the view is so good I forget about the pain."
>
> This text appears to be a humorous and lighthearted message from a gamer who is proud of their gaming skills, despite not having the typical gaming setup (gaming chair, mouse, and keyboard). They're saying that they can still dominate their opponents even without these luxuries.
>
> The second part of the message is a humorous aside, where they're bragging about their makeshift gaming setup, which consists of two patio chairs smashed together and held together with a pillow. They're saying that even though this setup is uncomfortable (they have to crane their head at a 45-degree angle to look at the screen), the view is so good that they forget about the pain.
>
> Overall, the tone of the message is playful and tongue-in-cheek, with the gamer poking fun at themselves and their unconventional gaming setup.
People seem to be confused. I do 0 productivity work (for now) and just play game or watch tube, that's it. The benchmarks I'm getting from this laptop are insane, the monitor is crazy, my headphones are wild, controller is the best I've used, it's fiiiiine (for now). If you wonder where the budget for the rest of the setup is check my profile lmao. Didn't know I'd get burned at the cross here 💀
How do you use this? You say it's not for productivity but that's what this layout promotes with the focus being the small laptop screen with 2 giant monitors as accessories. Center one of those bad boys and close the laptop, or set it off to the side for a discord screen. I see you're getting roasted but this layout doesn't make sense for gaming.
I scoot my chairs next to the laptop and simply have my back to the other UW 💀 i hardly use discord, if you zoom in on my laptop screen in the first Pic you'll see the only 2 applications I ever need to monitor lol. I just turn my head to the left. It ain't ideal but I'm happy w literally everything else besides the desk and chair. Good enough for now lol. All my games I play on controller, and will simply hold off on M&K til I got a better desk and chair
Sorry but this makes no sense
This is legitimately the most horrifying thing I’ve seen on this subreddit. “Skulliosis” (sic) should be the least of OP’s ergonomic concerns
Slipknot reference? (sic)💯
YAAAAA
Mmmmmmmm god!!!!! ![gif](giphy|ChjnaCNdQJjUNhAKQS)
Yup, straight to jail.
![gif](giphy|f8lDluiWJ7yQTtdS3L)
Agreed. I hate this.
Looks like they kick up their feet to the right when gaming.

The Karens in my office do this.

Helldivers 2, DCS, and forza horizon 5 I get low frames. Like 70 fps on max with a 4080S. I might need to reinstall drivers then.
The lapto is the oled
This setup deserves jailtime

Agree 🤣 and the comments are hilarious too love to get entertained like this

This is one of the most unpleasant looking gaming setups I have ever laid eyes on.
Dude you shoulda seen my last one
Fucking post it!!!!!!!
Bet
Waiting!
Making a montage of all the setups, yall gonna love it
Its like driving a ferrari but only in first gear. Oh. And no wheels.
I fear no man, but that thing... it scares me
Why, on god's green earth, would you put the laptop in the middle?
Because my dual patio chair setup renders me pretty much stationary. My eyesight is an equal distance from both monitors 💀 it's fiiiine
Tl;dr - op came to show off his new setup. Instead he gets ROASTED.
u should be beaten for this one, ngl
ragebait 100%
Holy shit and i thought ive seen alot
Wtf is this shit

All I need is temps and msi up on my laptop screen, that's it 💀 turn my head to the right and suddenly the other 2 don't exist!
WTF. You play games with your head turned to the right?
This is so freaking stupid on so many levels it's unbelievable.
This is a troll post right... Right???

Everyone has already said what I was going to say. I'll just see my way out.
this is the most uncomfortable looking setup i’ve ever seen
I'd that a keg under your desk???
No sir, issa wheel from one of my cars I used as a footrest before I got the OLED lmao
Just lie to me just this once...
Ik a keg woulda been cooler. I'll work on it. I'm ensuring 0 redeemability

For the life of me I can't figure out why everyone is so angry over this, it's your setup bro, do what you want
I hope you’ve learned something from this post. People aren’t roasting you as a person, they’re roasting the setup. Most replies have solid advice that you seem to just ignore or provide excuses for. Maybe, just maybe, it could be better.
Is anyone else trying to add up all the down votes OP got in the comments to see if he'll recover with the post?
lemme know the results
Huge ego. Probably insufferable irl.
Large reddit pp
I knew you would respond. Can’t help it can you.
Insufferable online, you know it's bad IRL.
Is that Revoker in Vow? Completely off topic from the monitor discussion.
No sir, I'm using thorn in Vow, revoker for the final boss in the final shape campaign 😼. What all these nubs don't get is I'd still clap em in their game of choice w my "shitty" setup ☠️
lol ... sure you would (* ಠ_ಠ)
It see what you did there, UNREAL.
Brother check out freecycle.org or FB marketplace there are reguraly free desks available
Why?
welcome to the champion's clu-... welcome to the club :D
it looks like ill achieve that top 10% post of the month achievement ;)
i am so confused
All that fuckin money but no brains. It really do be like that sometimes.
This is the most baffling setup I've ever seen
Even worse than the setup, you’re using Thorn in Root of Nightmares. What possible nightmare build would use that?
The one that claps. I'm 2 gud 4 meta
you gotta stop. lulz
lord how does one work with their neck bent 24/7
im calling the cops
Did you mean to send this to someone else?
Bro you have a razer blade and two curved monitors you can get any chair lmao just don’t get a gaming one if you care about your back. Also, please get another desk if you have space issues cause the laptop in middle ain’t it lol
Chair is next!
Oh HELL NAW
Bro is playing destiny in his peripheral vision… this tracks.
A stack setup will be better and you can save more space. More pleasant to look at.
I see you got your priorities straight as well brother 🤝
you should have the ultrawides stacked on top of each other, with the laptop to the side, keyboard and mouse in front of the ultrawides.
I’m not gonna comment on the setup, you do you. But what is the name of that laptop cooler, I’ve seen it before
I see you rock Razer Blade? Monitor your battery, it might expand and damage the chassis, my one expanded so much that the screws shoot out and the holes stretched xd
The 18" razer has a dedicated battery fan, and since it's plugged in 95% of the time I keep the battery capped at 50%. Not to mention all the other temp regulation methods I'm using
Very nice, kinda jelly cause my one, 16" Blade with rtx2070 is now completely unusable after its battery died :((
Wtf haha

wtf is this?? put these two mfs together and close the damn laptop
The comment section is absolutely wild lol
If I were you I’d not use the laptop screen to gain some space and put one of the monitors sort of in the middle
I feel… cheated. And even though that doesn’t make any sense, it’s still makes more sense than this setup!
But.... WHY?!
Thanks. I hate it. You keep doing you tho
Time to get a desktop
Your setup is so amazingly bad that even the ultrawidemasterrace crowd got ruffled. So... congrats, I guess? :D
I'm so proud of my achievement
Good sport.
I just want to talk
This is rage bait and so are all of his comments
This is disgusting.
How do you put 2 screens on a laptop?
I've got 2 output ports capable of full signal, thunderbolt 4 and hdmi 2.1
Hey man, one gamer to another. The ergonomics and positioning for gaming is completely off and wrong. You should try centering your main gaming monitor. There's a reason why so many people are confused at your setup here lol. At least give it a try! Best of luck to you gamer! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
What a homie 👊 will do bro
If it works for you it works, just seems like a lot of hassle for not much gain vs a desktop and then having a secondary device for light gaming on the go.
In this case, sell all those and get a better PC and a TN monitor
is that the odyssey G8 34 inch?
Yessir it is. 175hz oled variant
dope, I was also looking to get a g8 34 inch for myself too! But it’s a lil pricey for me to be honest. How is it? And if I may ask how much did you pay for it? Was it worth it? Kind regards

This looks dope, but I woulda put them bad boy monitors side by side and had the laptop off to one side.
LoL you are posting this just for seeing people complaining! :)
Atleast no neck injuries\* with setup like this lol \*After its already injuried couple of times at the beginning of use xD
The first picture looks like having the right monitor screen broken and leaked all around, lol
Ik it's so cool
From reading all these comments I can only conclude that OP is highly regarded
Tf kinda setup is this
I think I’m gonna be sick
Came here for the comments 👀
wtf am I looking at, why would you spend so much on monitors to play from a laptop
I’m Fully expecting the next update post to be a 29” screen used vertically in the center :/
That's a good idea
I refuse to believe you use this set up
Hawking gaming setup?
I love my odysseyG8 as well, it's a great monitor.
This is about the worst looking setup I've ever seen my guy. Who the hell let you cook XD

Its definitely the better tech. Ive went and looked at the mini led and stuff and its just not the same
Yeah oled actually just looks like extremely fluorescent liquid sloshing behind a glass panel
Yep especially the brighter you turn it up. I really love how colors pop
If you check out buddy’s page, you can see he’s literally high af most of the time. Makes a lot more sense now.
This guy gets it
Bizzare setup
this has to be a bait wtf

This is fucking wild 💀 humans r irrelevant now
what the hell is wrong with you
You nailed it. This is the best setup that makes the most sense ever
I was about to call out "trackpad warrior" but then i saw the controller. Guys, OP just wanted a high fps gaming console.
Exactlyyy, one that's portable
What the fuck
little overkill for a laptop eh?
Holy misallocation of resources, Batman!
Why two, why a laptop, why?
Oled burnin with contrast loss year over year. Have fun with that.
My 6 year old oled tv seems just fine 😬
All this for Destiny….
Absolutely. Dreamed ab playing destiny on gear like this since dark below. Before even possible
You know…. I respect the hell out of it
Preciate it dawg you understand
Glad you got the dream set up! Love to see it man🫡🤜🤛
I just posted a video of some of my previous setups dating back 5-6 years if you wanna check it out 😂
Bet hahaha
Razer Blade? My PC
Worst setup ever.
Most original comment ever
The ugliest thing I’ve seen in a while
Just close the laptop and set it to the side. Get a nice custom keyboard

And invest in a good mouse and keyboard. You're sacrificing a lot with that game pad.
This has to be a troll. No way you're that dense.
So dense I've become the center mass of this orbit
As long as you are happy bro
