I wouldn't mind doing something like Cardoso in the back with Musah and McKennie as 8/10s, and then you pour gas at the end by subbing in Reyna at 60 minutes and playing him as a lone 10 (bring the other two midfielders back into 6/8 positions).
Cardoso kinda seems like he's in the form of his life. I kinda wanna see what he can do. Similar could be said about LdlT though, of course.

But also, it lacks balance, even if Musah becomes a monster of a 6. Neither Tillman or Reyna have the defensive work rate to prevent that midfield from getting ran over by one with better balance.
you saying it might work against low level concacaf teams is the part that I didnt agree with, Adams may not ever return to the same player after 2 major hamstring injuries in the same year. Right now the best we have would be Musah at 6 with mckennie btb and reyna as a playmaker.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind starting Maloney at the 6 behind Musah/McKennie 8s to give him a look, has been very solid in the Bundesliga this year and is still pretty young
