I plan on placing some 6/19 SPY calls, first timer making calls. Could someone kindly give brief rundown of strategy when approaching SPY calls?

Buy ATM weeklies on red days, sell on Green Day’s, rinse and repeat. I’ve made 1.2k in a week doing that.

Buy two weeks out, $2-3 OTM, set a good til’ canceled stop loss as soon as you buy it at the amount you’re willing to lose, maybe -15%. If it triggers your stop loss you bought it at the wrong time.

I’m not sure if this is the best time to learn how to do SPY calls. If I were you, I would wait for things to stabilize. Then look for a small pullback and enter, not necessarily with a weekly. Give yourself some extra time. Good luck to you.

So I have AAPL Jan 122.5 & 125 deep ITM leaps I got in March when everyone hated tech... I’m up 61% lost a bit today on the ten year spike. Would ya sell and take profits or hold till end of year what ya think

On average looking back I really wish I grabbed the profit I had right in front of me. I have some AAPL Oct puts I sold that am up 50%, tempted to hold until expiration as I feel the options will be worthless for sure and I can make 100%..but looking back the smart thing to do is take the profit, or at least half the position, if I just did that, I would have a LOT more money.
