The new knocked loose song with poppy š¤š»
I mean I could go on for daaayyyssss lol
So I will preface with saying I do get a litttttle heavy haha !
Some of my favourites are Alpha Wolf (check out āno nameā one of my favourite songs), Make Them Suffer is a full album band, love their new album. Miss May I (not as heavy as the others but phenomenal all the same) Thy Art is Murder is a go to as well their new album āGodlikeā is pretty crazy !
Old school hiphop. Tupac, Biggie, Ice Cube, Nas, Snoop Dogg, etc ā both east & west coast. And of course, Disney soundtrack & showtunes. Lmao I listen to everything.
Some up-tempo Dua Lipa can usually get me going, but mostly I listen to metal. "Black" by Trivium sets a good tempo. If I'm having trouble getting going, I usually put on "Ocean Planet" by Gojira - once it hits that hard section I'm pretty fired up.
I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music across lots of different genres while working out. I just need a good tempo. My all time favourite song to workout to is ākilling in the name ofā. Particularly while running it makes me bounce.
Hip Hop Mash Mix-Up. I love when it takes the old school songs I know and keeps the tempo super high the entire time.
But if Iām just doing some running on a cardio day, I can dial in on a podcast or book.
Aaronchupa & Little Sis Nora, Eminem, some kpop, Paramore, Important by Ian McConnell, other music that won't make me take myself too seriously and/or music that makes me feel like I'm at war.
But speaking of music, I remember a friend of mine who would do cardio to sad and slow music. š
Show tunes! No, really. š The Greatest Showman has a beat heavy soundtrack and empowering lyrics. Disney songs do the same thing - stuff like the Moana soundtrack and In The Heights, Rent. People like Hamilton for beat heavy too (makes sense as Moana, ITH and Hamilton are all written by LMM.) Elton John, who is not show tunes but is still empowering. Queen, same.
psychedelic trance. looots of stuff from Boom Festival online on soundcloud.

gets them juices pumpin
edit: words
Mostly metal but occasionally older rap, basically the GWOT Marine grunt playlist because even though Iāve been out for years it keeps the intensity and aggression ratcheted up which has always helped me
I have an old Pandora channel for drum and bass that I put on when I do cardio.
For weights it's usually stoner rock or a podcast. I don't tend to get pumped up by music when weight lifting, just when doing cardio.
Metal, bmth, suicide silence, lamb of god, job for a cowboy. Also a good mention is pump it by electric callboy. That or any rap that goes really hard. Dubstep is another honorable mention.
Pop smoke š
Jvla
Or edm classics like hardwell ect.
Some old schools punk rock blink ect I suppose you have to match your playlist to your mood and see if you want to grind hard mauve some carnage and gravedigger if you want to chill and vibe some Sean Paul something it could help change things up
Honestly, anything. Itās funny, as a joke one day I told friends I was going to workout to In The Aeroplane Over the Sea, then that album actually became part of my workout mix. I do a lot of Breaking Benjamin, Fall Out Boy, Terminology, Dr Dre, Arctic Monkeys, Koffee, 88Rising; I really like working out to Ghost. I also sometimes listen to The Crane Wife.
Im autistic, I listen to everything in every situation lol
Whatever is playing on the gym radio. I'm probably the only one in my gym not wearing ear buds or headphones. Maybe one day I'll try it, but I prefer to just hear what's going on around me.
My Spotify "Get REKT" playlist is full of rap, some remixes, and rock!
Edit: Lil Uzi Vert, Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, David Guetta, Paramore, The Score, etc.
hardcore punk and death metal, hereās my playlist
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2kzOb9noobrtbPPj5AM03l?si=hNSRdKmCT_SAkyfOb4Cdgg&pi=u-yT16OLf8RVGQ
I have a lot of different playlists, depending on the mood.
Lately, my Workout Hip Hop playlist has been going hard. But I also have a metal playlist (called Workout Heavy), 70s/80s Workout (called Let's Get Physical), anime openings/inserts/soundtracks (I'm Going All Out).
When I really need to fight some demons, zone out, and just crush a workout, I have one called Sheer Fucking Will, all slow-driving but hard-hitting songs.
Then I have one for post-workout that's pretty upbeat (Mission Passed, +Respect). And all of them are on a master playlist called Gainsborough.
I have a playlist problem.
Depends on the day, but the bands I listen to most when working out are
- The Blue Stones
- Rival Sons
- Queens of the Stone Age
- Royal Blood
- Them Crooked Vultures
So in other words, harder rock.
Actually im can focus on workouts so hard that i dont know what happen around, even not listening to anythings š«„. My head is like counting set, rep, tempo thingsā¦
But if i have to choose, i will choose somethings that will distract me from others noises, or sounds from other people, music with fast flow, need for speed mostwantedās songs, maybe.
Screamy screams (metal)
