My group’s notorious for having good culture and overhead HR protections (protected saturdays that type of thing), also a lot of delegating to my analysts lol
Same. My title is technically “Data Analyst” but it’s a complete misnomer. I don’t really do much work with large data sets and I don’t get paid anywhere close to what actual Data Analysts get.
I also have a boring office job, “project specialist” here working project management for a distributor. Boring job, stable, decent pay, and tons of downtime just the way I like it
That's a resume builder mi amigo. Make sure you get some good time there, as long as the pay and treatment is right and you can open up some real doors.
Very dumb question but why do I usually see nurse with the "registered" before it?
Is there another job that is just "nurse" which is different?
I'm young and not from the US, sry for the ignorance.
You can be a nurse without being registered.
LPNs (different from registered nurse) basically just do patient care, and can monitor vitals. They also do more patient care. Also you can become an LPN after like 2 years of school.
RNs are likely to do more comprehensive assessments and may actually help construct a treatment plan with a physician. They also tend to stick on the more medical side of care compared to daily care tasks. Also RN is 4 years of school.
Note: not a nurse, just someone that considered it.
Currently doing a master's in oncology. As for how I manage my hobby, it's easy. I mostly play on duel links or online dueling simulators like dueling nexus and duelist omega.
Don't have to pay money on it when databases have all the cards I want to try playing with.
Cybersecurity, no I don’t play Cyberse.
Mostly I use online stuff like Master Duel and DN to save money instead of buying physical cards every two sets.
If you don't mind me asking, what are your profit margins like? After hearing about that place that decided to stop selling YGO cards due to losing money on sales I'd be very curious how it affects your shop?
I get what you're saying. It's based on the lore, when New World - Amritara was created and Scareclaws, Tearlaments, Kashtiras, and the Tree of Calarium now co-exist.
Ahh I didn’t think about that!
I was thinking more along the lines of dealing with peoples emotions as a social worker (fear, depression, anger, and finally joy) and those emotions correspond to the archetypes Scareclaw, Tearlaments, Kashtira and Mannadium. All of those are used in my deck!
Well, it helps that each of the 1500/2100 Hearts are not just based on emotions, but avatars of Vishnu, with Visas Starfrost himself being Vishnu's stand-in.
And yes, I also use a Visas Starfrost deck (Mannadium, Tearlaments, Scareclaw, and Kashtira) in Master Duel.
I work in sales, but I don’t play modern yugioh because it’s to expensive to keep up with. I just play anything from yugi kaiba format to the early xyz formats
I work for the state mostly cutting the grass on the side of the road with a tractor…. Do I make a lot of money, no. Do I make enough money to buy yugioh cards and buy other things for this hobby… also no
Educational coach / Math teacher/tutor
I recently got into the TCG, all I have for now is the traptrix structure and I'm going for the Fire King one. I mainly play on Master Duel and sometimes Omega.
Unfortunately, I did play Mathmech
I'm a HS teacher. I could probably afford to buy all the important staples and play a meta deck and go to events, but for now I'm content playing semi-budget and just trying to consistently top locals.
Fraud analyst and I don't spend money on this game anymore. But I do follow it religiously.
If I ever bought paper product I would be bankrupt with the amount of digital deck building I do.
Just started a new position as a Sales Leader for Frito-Lay. Manage a team of sales people and merchandisers!
Though like others, I primarily play online as I'm getting back into the game and learning new archetypes and mechanics.
I am a control center operator for public infrastructure. Currently studying to get into cybersecurity so that I can buy more cards, no joke. I want to get a 1st ed binder of all of the DM era sets. Even though I still buy new cards, play tournament format with friends, and play on Master Duel, my favorite way to play Yugioh has always been caveman/old school Yugioh. I will always hold DM era cards to a higher value than newer cards because I spent most of my childhood learning cards by name and effect. Nowadays, I only remember new staples by name and everything else by card art.
MMORPG GM, manga translator and actor (in Japan).
I do a lot of things for not a lot of money lmao.
I also play way too many decks that are rogue/casual. Guess doing loads of things with not much payoff really *is* a way of life
Currently doing Master in Finance. Prolly going into IB or Asset Management.
No idea how I'm gonna handle keeping up with Yugioh when I'm in the high-end hamster wheel working 60-80 hours a week.
Might just be one of the hobbies that I have to cut :(
Security superviser for college sports events. From November through March next year I'm usually too busy to go to locals so its pointless for me to buy expensive decks like Thunder Dragons, Swordsoul or Tearlament when those decks came out. By the time I finally get to go to locals In Spring they probably got hit by a banlist and aren't that good anymore and I wasted a few hundred bucks. Knowing not to buy into expensive decks this time of year helps my wallet a lot, especially with all the Christmas shopping.
Bookkeeper/Office Administrator And I do own Deskbots.
What do you think about spellbook :)
I hope they at least have book of moon/book of eclipse somewhere in their deck
Currently I work at the airport. I've yet to build Mecha Phantom Beasts though lol
I work in transportation... Should I build Roids?
Or build trains!
Stock Market Broker and yes, YuGiOh is a bad investment

My man living the dream life
That's a resume builder mi amigo. Make sure you get some good time there, as long as the pay and treatment is right and you can open up some real doors.
Average office job is still better than a lot of things so that ain't too bad.
It ain't bad, just not exciting either.
Same. Let’s duel on lunch break.
Same.
I play runick stun, I’m unemployed
As one who plays runick stun should be
As a runick enabler that doesn't play stun strategies, I concur

Different levels of nurses that’s why

I'm a teaching assistant, really want an archtype based on schools, teachers or anything like that. The meme potential at work would be amazing
You already got libromancers and mathmechs, don't overreach. KEEP SCHOOL OUT OF YUGIOH
Deskbots are also very much based on school desk appliances
Probably something like the Spellbooks, or one of the other archetypes in that universe would be closest.
I’m a doctor (seriously)
This you? https://preview.redd.it/zd8bgaenm96c1.png?width=437&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b5b5b8b55ada4191db2aaaa01058b521cf0c0f5

If you don't mind me asking, what are your profit margins like? After hearing about that place that decided to stop selling YGO cards due to losing money on sales I'd be very curious how it affects your shop?
He hasn't responded yet because he is no longer a card shop owner. Profits were low and couldn't keep the doors open.
Nice!
Architect (still fresh, got my master 2 years ago). Resumed this year after pausing Yugioh for 10 years. All the staples and new cards were pricy.
