Well, thing is there aren't better alternatives, unless you torrent. They have megaup links on every game, and that is the fastest free hoster I've ever seen in my life. Ovagames and Fitgirl for example, don't offer that.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. In my case, with proper direct download sites such as Megaup or Google Drive, I can use my internet speed to the max. I don't think I've ever been able to do that on torrents, or at least to keep the speed stable throughout the whole download. That's why I prefer DDL.
A lot of torrents, especially for less common or early access games, are from igg-games. It's hard to avoid them if you want up-to-date games and you don't want to fuck around with csru (for example, I don't like that they primarily use gdrive).

I don't know why people get so much trouble with IGG-games. I have been using there games a lot for years and I never experienced any sort of injectors/virus/trojan etc. All they have is a lot of ad sites before download which sometimes have virus but that is where your anti virus comes into play. When I was on fitgirls site(http://fitgirl-repacks.site/), I clicked on one of the links of a game, and when I clicked download, it also downloaded something called an installer, in some zipped format, which was picked up by Windows Defender as a potential virus. I promptly removed it though. Was this supposed to happen?

I'd advise you not to believe everything you see like when people made shit up about getting viruses for just going on the website, "JavaScript installing adware into your cookies" I mean come on this is just laughable, it seems like nobody knows how cookies work. Another thing is that people like to use virus programs as a way to prove the site has viruses just because their AV detected it as a virus, they aren't viruses they're merely just ads (Not exactly good ads but ads nonetheless). Or game files having viruses, it's well known that AV's detect cracked games as false positives, I've had my AV block far more games from Fitgirl than IGG, they're just false positives. Not saying IGG is to be trusted but a lot of things said about them is straight up false and often the people that make nonsense up don't know how anything works like viruses, cookies and whatnot. This very post we are currently on is false lol.
